KALI Gayatri Mantra

AGHORA KALI GAYATRI MANTRA:-

"ॐ कालिकायै च विद्महे शमशान वासिन्यै धीमहि।
तन्नो अघोरा प्रचोदयात॥ "

In English:

"Om Kalikaayai Ch Vidmahe Samsana Vasinyai Dheemahi,
Tanno Aghora Prachodayat ||"

MAHAKALI GAYATRI MANTRA:-

"ॐ महाकाल्यै च विद्महे शमशान वासिन्यै च धीमहि।
तन्नो काली प्रचोदयात ॥ "

In English:

"Om Mahakalyai Ch Vidmahe Samsana Vasinyai Ch Dheemahi,
Tanno Kali Prachodayat ||"

MEANING:-

In Maa Kali Gayatri Mantra, we offer prayer and meditate on Goddess Kali for enlightenment.
We meditate on the greatest Goddess who takes away darkness. We contemplate SHE who resides in the cremation grounds (the ultimate form into which creation dissolves; turns into pure ash--it is 'pure' as it is free of 'Aham').  "अहम् का अंत ही भस्म है। "
May that Goddess grant us increase.

PS: There are many forms of Gayatri Mantra for a particular Dev, Devis but each depict the same meaning and it is a prayer, kind of meditation on that God or Goddess. It is necessary to chant GAYATRI MANTRA before meditating on any God/Goddess Gayatri mantra.

Mahakali Mantra: KLI KALI MAHAKALI.....

Mahakali Maa is also known as 'Shubhankari-शुभंकरी'. Her form is auspicious and she is giver of Siddhis. She represents 'the eternal dark night'. She removes ignorance and pave the way of enlightenment. She is first among the Dush-Mahavidhyas. Her form is ferocious and this form is highly worshipped in this Kaliyuga. People threatened by her due to her fearful avatar, as this form depicts the highest anger state of Adi-shakti. But this form is the most beautiful among other Motherly forms of Adhya-shakti Maa.

Mahakali Maa is the seventh among Nav-Durga avatars of Devi Parvati (Adi-Shakti embodiment). Sixth avatar of Devi Katyayani stables the devotee in Ajna or Agya chakra (6th chakra among 7 main chakras of human body). This seventh avatar of Mahakali Maa makes possible for devotee to go beyond Agya chakra. She is bestower of Siddhis i.e. enlightenment.

Below is the Mahakali Mantra or Stuti taken from 'Narayani Stotram'. It is auspicious mantra:

"ॐ कली काली महाकाली कालिके परमेश्वरी,
सर्व आनंद (सर्वानंद) करे देवी (दाती) नारायणी नमो स्तुते ॥ "

"Kli Kali Mahakali,
 Kalike Parmeshwari,
Sarva-Anand Kare Dati,
Narayani Namostute ॥ "

In this we pray to Mahakali Maa that Oh Great Mother, Supreme Goddess Kali, Gracious Mother, Bestower of Bliss, Salutations to you, Narayani, Goddess of the Universe.

Why we do 'Shri Ganesh' (श्री गणेश) before any new beginning....

Symbolizes Shri Ganesha
Swastik Chinah

Lord Ganesha is one such God who is worshiped in the beginning of every prayer, yagna, religious ceremony and even new things are welcomed with 'Swastik' symbol which is drawn on using red sacred powder (KUMKUM). As per hindu tradition, devotees also wear yellow and orange 'kumkum'. Now the question arises....

Why every celebration is commenced with Lord Ganesha's prayer or worship?

It also invokes our physical, earthly plane, world of our soul, world of our mind in order to illuminate them with the divine sound of 'AUM'.

'tat savitur varenyam' we remember that 'davik tatva' which is inculcated and present in every being, which is full of light and brightness, effulgent as of Sun. Which is most adorable and most desirable.

Shiv Gayatri Mantra

Sri Shiv Gayatri Mantra:

Om Tat Purushaya Vidmahe
Mahadevaya Dhimahi
Tanno Rudra Prachodayat

Meaning of Mantra:

Om, let me meditate on the Great Purusha,
Oh, greatest God, give me higher intellect,
and let God Rudra illuminate my mind.

A 24-syllable Shiv Gayatri Mantra is as follows:-

"ॐ भूर्भुव स्वः

ॐ तत् पुरुषाय विद्महे

महादेवाय धीमहि

तन्नो रुद्रः प्रचोदयात् "

Gayatri Mantra is a 24-syllable mantra in Sanskrit. It needs to start with 'Om bhur (पृथ्वी, भू लोक), bhuva (वायु ), swaha (अग़्नि) ' in order to complete its form as a 24-syllable mantra. During creation of this 'Srishti' Gayatri mantra is originated in Sanskrit in this form only. Gayatri mantra is only one, which is a prayer to 'Brahm' (ब्रह्म) to guide our intellect to walk on righteous path and to incline oneself towards that Supreme consciousness.

In order to offer prayer to own 'aradhya' (अराध्य) for guidance and illumination of mind, there is Shiv gayatri mantra, Kali gayatri mantra, Ganesha gayatri mantra and so on.
