Shri Kaal Bhairav Gayatri Mantra

Bhairav Gayatri Mantra:

"Om Kaalakaalaaya Vidhmahe,
Kaalaatheethaaya Dheemahi,
Tanno Kaala Bhairava Prachodayat॥ "

In hindi,

"ॐ कालाकालाया विधमहे,
कालाअथीथाया धीमहि,
तन्नो काल भैरवा प्रचोदयात॥"


There are various versions of Kaal Bhairav Gayatri Mantra. But most popular one is the given above. 

Other forms of Bhairava Gayatri Mantra are:-

"Om Swarnat Vijaya Vidhmahe,
Soola Hasthaya Dheemahi,
Tanno Kaala Bhairava Prachodayat||"

"Om Soola Hasthaya Vidhmahe,
Shvaana Varaaya Dheemahi,
Tanno Kaala Bhairava Prachodayat||"

"Om Thigambaraaya Vidhmahe,
Theergathishnaaya Dheemahi,
Tanno Kaala Bhairava Prachodayat||"

Chant this mantra daily to meditate upon Lord Kaal Bhairava, fierce manifestation of Lord Shiv. 'Kaal' means time (समय). Nobody knows which time---good or bad they are going to face in their future. Time has immense power and it is under God of time, that is, Kaal Bhairava. His vehicle (vahan) is shvana, means dog. Due to this, in other forms of Bhairav gayatri mantra, shvana mention is there. 

Kaal Bhairava, though fierce in his form, is a most benevolent God. One should not develop any fear, but love for the God. Love is the connecting force between a person and God.
